Step 1.1 - Find Athletes

Scout Report
RE: Welcome to the Soliq Sports Group team!

Hey!
Welcome to the SSG team, we’re excited to have you on board!
Your first task is to research athletes in the UAE who are under 18 years old and look like they could become professionals in the future.
Here’s what to do:
Find 8 young athletes who live in the UAE in a sport or sports of your choice.
For each athlete, create a 1-page Scout Report with:
Their name
Their sport
Their age (or school year)
Their results
Their current team, club, organisation or sponsors
Why you think they have big potential (for example: they’ve won competitions)
Include a link about where you found the information (for example: an article, YouTube).
The SSG Talent Scout team often find athletes on Gulf Youth Sport, the directory of the UAE Ministry of Sports, UAE School Games and news sites. I've also attached a sample Scout Report that you can click and use as a guide when creating your own. Finally, I've attached a video link to a scout talking through his own process.
When you’re done, please save your files so we can review them later.

Step 1.2 - Compare Athletes

Talent Tracker
RE: Great work — now build your Talent Tracker!

Hey!
Your manager told me that you found 8 athletes, that’s fantastic work!
Now it’s time to take the next step. We need you to compare the athletes you found by making a Talent Tracker.
Here’s how we do it in SSG:
Make a table or chart with all 8 athletes.
Add athlete data, such as:
Name
Sport
Age or school year
Best recent results, personal records or national ranking
Team or club
Technical strengths for sport (for example: speed, shooting, ball control)
Social strengths (for example: communication with teammates, leadership)
Work ethic, dedication, motivation and professionalism
Areas to improve or risks
Source links (articles, social media, videos, or website)
Use a 5 start rating system to show who you think has the biggest potential and why.
Your Talent Tracker will help us make better decisions about which athletes to contact or follow more closely.
I've attached a link to a spreadsheet that you can download to develop your Talent Tracker. Also, I've attached a video of another Talent Scout talking through their analysis process so you can better understand how it is done.
Once you finish, save your file so we can check it out later!
Thanks again, you’re doing great work for the SSG team.

Leo

Phase 2: Presentation
Step 2.1 - Recommend an Athlete

Recruitment Recommendation
RE: Present your recommendation!

Hey!
Great job on your Talent Tracker, it’s now time for the final stage!
Pick one athlete from your list who you think has the best chance to become a pro, and make a Recruitment Recommendation presentation about them.
Your presentation should include:
1. Athlete Info
Name, age, sport, position, and team or club
Best results or biggest achievements
A short note on why they stand out
2. Media Pack
1–2 photos or videos that show their skills
A short caption about what we’re seeing
3. Next Steps for Talent Development
What could SSG do to help this athlete develop?
(For example: performance coach, mindset coach, or nutrition support)
4. Outreach Message
Write a short message you’d send to the athlete or their coach to show SSG’s interest
5. Final Slide
End with your recommendation:
Why should SSG support this athlete?
What makes them special?
Finally, record a short video of yourself presenting your slides, or add a voiceover as you move through them. This helps you explain your ideas clearly to SSG’s management team.
When you finish your presentation, save the files and follow our submission guidelines so we can review it.
You've done some amazing work and I hope you take on more advanced tasks in this sector!
Congratulations from all the SSG team!
